- a. By some definitions Social Responsibility means-
The principle that companies and individuals should contribute to the welfare of society and not be solely devoted to maximizing profits or individual gain. This may sound foreign to some, but increasingly, there are more EARS to hear this message and many people are beginning to realize that this is essential to our long-term success and sustainability in our local communities and in our nation.
- b. Arguably this can be even more motivating over the long-run than simply a "personal profit driven motive"- certainly more meaningful.
